I don't think there is a Ph.D in MBA because it is done in core subjects. You can but check UGC website to know more.

In 2018, the exam was conducted in 2 shifts morning and afternoon. The main criteria for finding the rank of the student goes as follows-

A PGDM is given by a college affiliated to the AICTE whereas an MBA is given only by a University. Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters more is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from a reputed B-school is any day more valuable than an MBA from an average one, and vice-versa. Ideally, one should try to go for an MBA since it is more recognised than a PGDM.

Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters more is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from a top-ranked B-school is any day more valuable than an MBA from an average university, and vice-versa. Ideally, one should try to go for an MBA since it is more recognised than a PGDM.
