For a medical career in US, you must undergo a long and rigorous process which includes clearing the USMLE ( United States Medical Licensing Examination). After you have passed USMLE you can apply to the desired residency via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The final stage USMLE 3 is taken during the residency itself. Please go through the links for clarity.
