The selection process for MBBS at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Manipal is based on merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG, followed by counseling. Eligibility. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, with a minimum aggregate of 50% and English as individual subjects. KMC Manipal does not offer direct admission. Candidates must appear for the NEET exam and undergo counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates must score at least 50 percentile in the NEET exam if they are from the general category and 45 percentile for the reserved category.

There are a lot of scholarships and candidates can also apply for schemes offered by the government of India. The applicants of MBBS course at Jamia Hamdard can apply for tuition fee concession. It is offered to students of weaker sections of socities, whose parents income is below INR 4.5 lakh per annum.
