An MBBS is a more extensive and demanding course that leads to becoming a physician or surgeon. It typically takes 5.5 years in India, including an internship, and involves deep study in medicine, surgery, and related fields. Nursing, on the other hand, offers a quicker path to entering the healthcare field, with programs ranging from 3 to 4 years for a BSc in Nursing. If you aspire to diagnose and treat patients independently, an MBBS might be a better fit. If you're drawn to patient care with a strong focus on compassion and support, nursing could be the ideal path.

No, nurses in India do not typically study MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). MBBS is a professional degree for individuals pursuing a career as a medical doctor or physician. Nurses, on the other hand, pursue nursing education through different programs specific to their field. While nurses and doctors work closely together in healthcare settings, their educational paths are distinct. Nurses focus on nursing care, patient advocacy, health promotion, and disease prevention, while doctors (MBBS graduates) receive training to diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatments, and perform medical procedures.

Provided the medical school you attend is approved by the appropriate medical education authorities in the nation where you wish to practice, you can still pursue an MBBS degree from overseas without having to meet the NEET requirements and have your degree recognised and acknowledged globally. Your medical school's listing in international directories like the World Directory of Medical Schools is generally required by many nations, as they have their own methods for assessing and acknowledging medical degrees. Although the NEET exam is a prerequisite for admission to Indian medical schools, it has no bearing on whether your degree is

Getting into an MBBS programme is far more difficult than getting into a B Pharm programme. Both are good, depending on how much effort candidates are willing to put in. No, MBBS is not compulsory for pursuing a BDS. BDS is a distinct undergraduate programme specifically focused on dental education and training, whereas MBBS is centred on medical education with a broader focus on general medicine and surgery. Both are separate professional degrees with different curricula and career paths. To pursue BDS, candidates typically need to complete their higher secondary education with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and pass the required entrance exams, such as NEET, specific to dental studies.
