To be eligible for MCA lateral entry course, you are generally required to have completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA) or Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc. ) with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate level. Since you are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) with Computers, you may not be eligible for MCA lateral entry course as you do not have a relevant undergraduate degree. However, some universities may have different eligibility criteria, and it's best to check with the specific university where you wish to pursue the MCA course

The MCA Course duration is 2 years. The MCA admission will be done on the basis of merit or entrance examination. The minimum MCA course eligibility criteria is a Bachelor's degree in computer application- BCA, or in any related field with mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class 12.

Yes, you surely can do MCA after B.Sc. If you have studied BZC or any Graduation with Computer Science as a subject for three years or Mathematics or Statistics or Business Maths or Business Statistics or QT as one of the subjects at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent.
