If there is any discrepancy found in the NIMCET 2025 answer keys, then candidates can raise objections online at nimcet.in. All objections have to be submitted with a supporting proof. For every objection, INR 500 has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then the authorities will not accept the objections.

NIMCET admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried at the examination centre. Details mentioned on the NIMCET admit card are exam date and time, address of the exam centre, paper for which a candidate is appearing, candidate photo and signature, and exam day guidelines.

Candidates securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in- Any UG programme of minimum Three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one ofthe subjectsOR- B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognised University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET 2024.

In the computer awareness section, 20 questions will be asked in the NIMCET exam. Topics covered in this section are as follows:Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and back-up devices.Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication,  division, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.

In such cases, candidates can have a look and refer to the previous years’ question papers to analyse which topics are of utmost importance and which can be left out.

No, calculator or any other electronic equipment such as mobile phones, pagers, etc. will not be allowed to carry to the NIMCET exam centre. Candidates need to report at the examination hall in the allotted test center with admit card before one hour as NIMCET is an online examination, the candidates are required to follow the instructions given at the test center for entry and allotment of terminal.

No, there is no step marking in NIMCET. Each correctly answered question will be awarded full marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to 25% negative mark. The candidates are advised not to attempt such questions if they are not sure of the correct answer. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if a question is unanswered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be negatively marked. The candidates have to mark the responses as per the instructions appearing in the screen of NIMCET online examination.

No, there will not be any break during the NIMCET exam. The NIMCET exam will be conducted with single paper containing 120 multiple-choice questions, and the questions will be asked in English language only. The three parts of the CBT will appear to the candidate one after the other. Time assigned for each part is fixed. Candidate should complete each part in allotted time only as movement to one section from other is not permitted.

As per the exam pattern of the NIMCET, for every correctly answered question, full marks will be awarded, and each wrongly answered question will lead to a 25% negative mark. Also, if a candidate marked more than one answer against a question, then it will be negatively marked.
