To get admission to MCA course at NIT Bhopal, students must be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST) in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects. Students who are graduated with BE/B Tech or equivalent from a recognised University can also apply for this course.

In order to get admission to MCA course at NIT Bhopal, students need to qualify NIMCET entrance exam with a valid score. This exam is conducted annually by NITs for admission to MCA courses.

For candidates belonging to All India Quota, MPPET Round 2 seat allotment for Vikram University MCA cut off 2023 stood at 1332 for the General category. The closing rank for the PwD category was also 1332. In 2022, the closing rank for MCA stood at 1026 and 471 in 2021. On analysing Vikram University cutoff for MCA, candidates have witnessed an increase in cutoff trend for the General All India category. It is a good institute to pursue an MCA course. The institute offers great placement opportunities to students. As per the media reports, the institute has concluded 2022 placements with 88% of MCA candidates getting placed.
