Admission to BIT Mesra MCA course is entrance-based. Admission to the PG-level programme is based on candidates score in BIT MCA exam conducted by the institute. The candidates are shortlisted based exam score. In addition, it is also necessary that the course aspirants meet the course-specific minimum eligibility criteria. The institute has the right to cancel the admission of the candidate who are found to be ineligible for the course.

Thapar University MCA fee is INR 2.55 lakh. The fee mentioned here is the total tuition fee and is taken from an unofficial source. Hence, the actual amount may vary. Apart from the mentioned tuition fee, candidates are also required to pay a one-time fee of INR 23,000, including admission fee and institute security fee. Candidates applying for the MCA course must pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 1,500.

Thapar University offers a two-year full-time MCA course at the postgraduate level. To be eligible for Thapar University MCA admission, candidates must have a Bachelors degree of a minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate. Yes, Thapar University offers merit-based scholarships to students of MCA courses. The scholarship will be awarded in the first year of the course in the second semester. The scholarship will be given to the 10% of admitted strength. Thapar University MCA scholarship will be given on the basis of performance (CGPA obtained) in the first semester of the course. To be eligible for TIET scholarships, students should not have an CGPA of less than 8 and should not have any backlog in the year of consideration and must have passed all the courses offered in the semester (s) prior to the year of consideration.
