The Selection criteria at MCE - Malnad College of Engineering for B.E / B.Tech course is : The candidates must be having score 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics more than 45% from any recognised board.  However,   the decision strictly relies on merit rank obtained through the exam of KCET among students. Students who score higher marks in KCET gets  higher rank leading to higher chance of getting admission.
