Yes, MCKV offers a three-year BTech (Lateral Entry) course. In this course, students can get admission directly to the second year of BTech. This course is offered across the same nine specialisations as of BTech course. Admission to this course is entrance-based. Students who have passed Pass Diploma with 45% aggregate from any AICTE-approved institute (40% aggregate for reserved category) are eligible to apply. If BSc students are willing to take admission in BTech Lateral Entry, their upper age limit must be 27, they must have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate from any University recognised by UGC. For admission to BTech at MCKV, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Technical Vocational subjects (in both theory and practical) (40% aggregate for reserved category) and Class 12 with 30% aggregate in English from a recognised board. The selection is based in the qualifying score of entrance exams such as JEE Main or WBJEE.

MCKV offers a four-year AICTE- approved BTech course with popular specialisations such as CSE, Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Apart from imparting theoretical knowledge, the institute provides practical field-related practical knowledge in collaboration with companies such as LOGICZAP, BOSCH, EICHER, etc. Also, as per the placement data of MCKVIE, a total of 93% of placements were witnessed during the 2022 placement drive for BTech (CSE) course. The highest recorded package was INR 18 LPA and the second the highest package went up to INR 17 LPA.

MCKV offers two UG and two PG courses in the stream of Management and Science. Admission to most of the courses at MCKV is both merit and entrance-based. For courses such as BTech, M.Tech and MBA, students are required to qualify for state/ national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, MAT, CAT, GATE, WBU PGET, etc., where as for BVoc course the admission is based on the previous merit peformance of candidates.

For admission to M.Tech at MCKV, there is a minimum eligibility criteria that needs to fulfil before applying. Aspirants need to Graduate with BE/ BTech/ MSc Electronics/ Physics or equivalent from IETE / IE (I).

Admissions for M.Tech at MCKV are entrance-based. In order to get admission to this course, students are required to qualify for state/ national-level GATE or WB PGET exam with a valid score.
