With 5000 rank in NEET PG, there are a number of MD/MS specialisations available. Looking at the most popular specialisations, you can opt for MS in Ophthalmology, MS in Orthopaedics or MS4 in Pulmonary Medicine. If you belong to the General AI category, you can opt for these courses. If you belong to some other category, then the options would be more.

500 rank in Punjab NEET is a very good rank and can grant admission to all the specialisations apart from a few. At this rank, you must target to MD in Radio Diagnosis, MD in General Medicine and MD in Paediatrics. These are the highly demand specialisations. The cutoff would also depend on the category to which the candidate belong to. If you belong to the General AI quota, then you must target these courses.

At 3000 rank in NEET PG, you should aim for MD in Psychiatry, MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and MD in Psychiatry if you belong to the General All India category, as these courses are the most demanded ones among all.If you belong to some other category, then you must check the category-wise cutoff list, which is available here

Candidates seeking admission to Kurnool Medical College for the MD in General Surgery course can surely get this course at a rank of 7000. This is because the cutoff in itself is more than the rank mentioned above. The Kurnool Medical College cutoff 2024 for the MD in General Surgery stood at, 8537 for the General AI category candidates.

GMC Aurangabad MD admission is based on the applicants' performance in the NEET PG entrance exam. After appearing for the exam, applicants can register for NEET PG counselling conducted by MCC for the AIQ or by Maharashtra CET for the State/In-service Quota for seat allocation. The counselling bodies release merit lists for various counselling rounds. These lists are based on the applicants' NEET PG scores, choices filled while registering for counselling and availability of seats. Selected candidates must report to the college with the allotment letter and other original documents as specified.
