BVM.Reasons to chose -the oldest engineering college of gujarat having mechanical branch.Experienced faculties.Nice workshop and laboratories.Now it’s an autonomous institute so BVM have its own syllabus and question papers.Good placement opportunities.Students in mechanical branch have higher rank here than DDIT, so you will get nice atmosphere here.Drawbacks-Campus is very old and also small (1948). So BVM don’t have best infrastructure. you may not feel like college.Some professors are not good infact they are below average. Sometimes I wonder how they became professors.But I think it is common in every college even in IITs. Thanks to reservation system.!Like nirma, pdpu and other private colleges there is no clubs like robotics, automobiles etc. in this college.In DDIT mechanical is a self-finance branch so fee is higher there and it has poor placement.In the year 2016 only 10 got placement out of 60.So no doubt that BVM is far more better than DDIT as far as mechanical branch.Hope this will help you !
