Yes, you are eligible to pursue MDes in Film and Video Design after completing BTech in Mechanical Engineering. You can pursue the course after completing any undergraduate degree such BA, BSc, BTech/ BE etc.Since MDes is an advanced course, you are expected to have basic Design aptitude.

LPU is not bad. But Thapar institute of engineering and technology patiala can be the another good option. The B.Tech lateral admission in TIET are based on LEET-TU.
