It is simple, just appear for an entrance exam conducted by that state. After that, you will get rank & get admission in a college according to the rank. Moreover, some of the private colleges also fill management seats directly.

Hi Jagdish Manocha,
If your son secures very good grades and interested in research he can apply for a MS in mechanical engineering. He can also apply for specialized Masters that is MS in robotics, MS in transport design, MS in manufacturing design, MS in automation, MS in mechatronics, MS in automobiles and many more. If you are working in a private bank after completing B.Tech in mechanical engineering, then you must opt for MBA. Moreover, if you want to change your field, then you must prepare for GATE exam.

Record of IISc is quite good as far as the placement is concerned. Their training standard is also best amongst all. Facilities are very good. All in all, the institute is good.
