Minimum eligibility marks for M.Tech in majority on engineering colleges is 60%. Therefore, you are not eligible for M.Tech in top engineering colleges such as IITs and NITs. You can seek admission in private engineering colleges where eligibility criteria is not stringent. You are eligible for AME course.

It is simple, just appear for an entrance exam conducted by that state. After that, you will get rank & get admission in a college according to the rank. Moreover, some of the private colleges also fill management seats directly.

If your son secures very good grades and interested in research he can apply for a MS in mechanical engineering. He can also apply for specialized Masters that is MS in robotics, MS in transport design, MS in manufacturing design, MS in automation, MS in mechatronics, MS in automobiles and many more. Record of IISc is quite good as far as the placement is concerned. Their training standard is also best amongst all. Facilities are very good. All in all, the institute is good.
