Hi,
Each and every branch in engineering has equal opportunities and scope. Mechatronics is good for those students who want to be in Robotics/ Electronics/ Automation Company / Manufacturing Automation field.
Aspirants can also purse MS in Mechatronics once they are done with the graduation.
The profession of mechatronics includes technicians and engineers. They design and maintain automated equipment.

No, you won't be able to get that as this branch has very less seats and there is a very high demand of this branch, moreover, this branch needs very high dedication to science and technology.

There is no specific way to find a job. You have to aware with different resources and have to be updated with the latest recruitments. Strong demand exists from large global enterprises in automotive, aerospace and consumer products industries and in smaller innovative high tech companies supplying software parts and equipment. Mechatronic engineers may also be employed by product developers, manufacturing, mining or forestry industries, aerospace and defence, government and industry research groups.
Thank you.

Let me give few reasons of why you should not join Acharya Mechatronics or Mechatronics at all in VTU. Acharya is doing pretty well in placements. This year itself more than 350 students got placed (most of those are in IT companies). Its big achievement for private state level institute but no core mechatronics company visited the campus (I wonder is there any pure mechatronics company). Very few mechanical companies visited campus and most of those companies were allowing mechatronics student to appear test & interviews. I thing so there is no point in joining mechatronics because at the end of the day you will be working in mechanic
