As it is a new course in CU so there is no place for mechatronics and the number of faculty members is not enough as per subjects.

Each and every branch in engineering has equal opportunities and scope. Mechatronics is good for those students who want to be in Robotics/ Electronics/ Automation Company / Manufacturing Automation field.
Aspirants can also purse MS in Mechatronics once they are done with the graduation.
The profession of mechatronics includes technicians and engineers. They design and maintain automated equipment.

Here is the Eligibility for getting admission in B.E in Mechatronics engineering in Oxford College in Bangalore which can help you to know whether you are eligible for this or not:-
The candidate shall have secured minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of sc/st candidates) in three subjects I. e. - Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subject namely, chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology, computer science, electronics and shall have completed PUC, 10+2, or its equivalent with English as one of the languages.
Duration: 4 years.
No. of seats- 60.
