Inorder to get admissions at the Medical college, Kolkata,   the candidate must write the NEET-UG exams. The admissions to this institution is based on the merit and scores of the NEET-UG exam. The candidates must have scored more than the cutoff which is set by MCC or the Medical counselling committee and the college. The Eligibility criteria for MBBS at Medical college of Kolkata is pretty much similar to other goverment medical colleges. The MBBS course seats are allotted on the basis of NEET-UG score and rank. Therefore, the candidates will have to apply for the NEET-UG examination conducted by the NTA for the admissions for MBBS. After the NEET-UG results, the cutoff is released by the MCC or the Medical counselling committee based on various factors. The probability is low, but there are chances that you might get admission at the Medical college Kolkata.  590+ marks can get you a seat in the top colleges through state quota. The 480+ marks is a marginal score that has a chance to get you into the state quota. But if students get less than this, then they can get admission only in the private medical colleges. The minimum NEET percentage required for MBBS depends on the category to which the candidate belongs to. For exam the minimum cutoff for unreserved categories is 50%, while for SC/ST and OBC it is 40%. The Medical counselling committee or MCC releases the minimum marks or the cut off marks. Thr admission is given on the basis of merit. The Candidates will have to write the NEET exams conducted by the NTA inorder to take admission in MBBS course. Candidates applying for the Undergraduate courses would have to get good marks in the NEET-UG exams and candidates applying for the Post graduate courses would have to write the NEET-PG exam.
