The Medical College, Kolkata has a total seat intake of 250 for the MBBS course.This means that 250 students can pursue the MBBS programme at Kolkata Medical College. The admission to the MBBS course is based on the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) ranking. The seat capacity of the college although changes every year due to various factors like infrastructure built, no of applications recieved and requirements of the candidates etc.

The latest cutoff information for BSc at Medical College, Kolkata, is not yet proovided by the college. However, the expected NEET cutoff 2023 for the general category is between 1800th to 1850th rank, while the SC category cutoff will range between 18500th to 19000th rank, the ST category cutoff will range between 62100th to 62500th rank, and the OBC category cutoff will range between 3900th to 4000th rank. Medical college Kolkata is not expensive than Dayanand Medical college and hospital. Infact it is much cheaper than Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. The cost of pursuing MBBS at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital is INR 11 Lacs whereas at Medical College, Kolkata the fees for pursuing MBBS is only INR 40k. Similarly the fees for pursuing MD at Medical College, Kolkata and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital is INR 48k and INR 18 Lacs respectively. So Medical College, Kolkata is way too cheaper than Dayanand Medical College and Hospital.
