NO, It is not compulsory to avail the hostel facility. Those who live far from the college prefer to take the hostel to make their life easier. If you have you own house and do not face problem in reaching the college on time then there is no need to stay in hostel. Its your choice if you want to stay at hostel or not. Thank You!

There are very less chances or no chances of this marks to get a government college in Tamilnadu. You haven't mentioned your category so I assume general category. The qualifying marks set by NTA is 601 marks and the students will get admission only if they qualify fixed cut off. Better luck with private colleges. Thanks.
