Master degree in Microbiology will expand your chances to get jobs in various fields which includes R&D, Health sectors, Food and Beverages, Clinical research, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Teaching, Clinical Laboratory, Diary industries, Various government. Funded Projects by DBT, ICAR etc. Microbiologist are required in Pharma industries for the QC/QA process while you can work in pathology lab or hospitals as a Microbiologist. You can also work in clinical research as pharmacology associates. These industries offers good annual package even for fresher but you have to skillful when it comes to practical knowledge about Microbiology. You can make your career in professional teaching as an associate or assistant professor in colleges but you need to qualify the UGC/CSIR-NET Exam which will be followed by personal interview once you will qualify the NET exam. All you need to have good practical skills and experience in the relative field will add edge over fresher to get the jobs easily.

All candidates are eligible who have completed graduation in (Physics / bio / chemistry / Zoology / botany / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Applied Medical Sciences / Biotechnology) / engineering / pharmacy / medicine / BDS. Percentage in last qualified exam (graduation) required for admission in M.Sc. may vary university to university (50-60%).
