You won’t be able to secure admission even to a government medical college even if you belong to SC category as you have only a rank of 2 Lacs in NEET 2024. Expected NEET cutoff for SC candidate to get into government medical colleges is between 163 and 129 marks Most of the times and especially if you are below rank 2,00,000 you may not get into government colleges. But you might consider yourself lucky if you got an admission in the private medical colleges since these institutions tend to set high cutoffs and maybe they might consider your rank for you to be given a chance to join them. As per the NEET scores you have secured 263 marks and therefore, you do not stand a very bright chance of getting an MBBS admission as the cut off marks for the MBBS programs are comparatively much higher. But you may have a better chance at getting into a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) course since the cutoff for BDS is usually much lower than that for MBBS. However, it is recommended that one should confirm the general cutoffs for the colleges then check under the category of the college of your choice. So, if a student wants to build a career in some branch of health care, BDS might be an appropriate choice for him or her.
