All India Institute of Medical Science or AIIMS conducts its entrance examination every year to select the top notch potential doctors from all over the country. The number of available seats for AIIMS is 72 (37 for general category, 19 for the other backward classes, 11 for scheduled class students and 5 for scheduled tribe students). However, the number of examinees vary between 80,000 to 1, 00, 00 thus making the conversion ratio an approximate 0.08% on an average. The noticeable fact about the AIIMS entrance examination is that it consists of four sections i.e. physics, chemistry, biology and general knowledge thus making it multi-faceted.
