I'm glad to hear you've qualified the NEET exam! However, for BDS admissions in Karnataka, attending the counselling process is generally mandatory. The counselling process helps allocate seats based on your NEET rank, preferences, and availability of seats in various colleges.

With a score of 400 marks in NEET, your chances of getting admission to a government medical college are quite slim, as this typically corresponds to a rank above 2,50,000. However, you still have some options:Private Medical Colleges: You have a fair chance of getting admission to private medical colleges. These colleges often have lower cut-offs compared to government colleges.State Quota: Depending on your state and category (general, OBC, SC, ST), you might have better chances in state quota seats.Management Seats: Some private colleges offer management seats, which can be an option if you are willing to pay the higher fees.

GCET for the B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology at Goa Medical College in Panaji is based on the Goa Common Entrance Test. For the General category candidates it varies between 50-55% marks in GCET generally. Whereas for OBC, SC, ST category its slightly lower ranges about 45%-50%. These percentages may shift as a result of available seats and the competetiveness displayed throughout a particular year. The college also have reserved seats under state' quota thus if you are a domicile of Goa then there's an added bonus. It is however advisable to establish the precise mark that the various institutions accept for this year's semester.
