Graduate students are not automatically eligible to pursue a degree in *Oncology Nursing*. Such eligibility varies according to the required types of qualifications concerned with nursing or health care. To be able to practice *Oncology Nursing*, applicants are generally expected to fulfill the following:1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) :- This is one of the most common preconditions, as training oncology nurses in clinical skills and patient care is done during undergraduate nursing programs.2. *Registered Nurse Status* :- You need to be a registered nurse to specialize in oncology, which means you need to sit for a national nursing examination and be licensed.3. *Postgraduate Courses or Specialized Certification* :- After obtaining registration as a nurse, one can pursue further certification or a specialised *Master's in Nursing* with emphasis on oncology or related fields. Further qualifications can be achieved through certifications from bodies like the *Oncology Nursing Society *ate. A student who went through an unrelated discipline such as arts or engineering would first have to meet the eligibility for nursing school entry prior to specializing in oncology nursing.

The eligibility criteria for the GNM course for GSVM Medical College, Kanpur are :-1. *Educational Qualification* :- The applicant must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent from recognised boards with minimum 40-50 aggregate percentage. Preferably, candidates of Science stream in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are preferred.2. *Age Limit* :- Candidates are usually aged between 17 to 35 years at the time of admission.3. *Other requirements* :- Candidates must meet the medical fitness criteria specified by the College.
