Having secured a NEET score of 600 and an AIR of 80,885, it brings the prospect level quite lower for bagging a seat in government medical colleges, such as GMC, Himachal Pradesh, or Assam under the AIQ quota. The cut-off mark for AIQ seats in these states usually lies in a significantly higher range; often this is in and around 500-600 marks for the general category candidate. For instance, the cut-offs for government colleges are much higher than your current score, but you may look for private medical college options or under state quota which may have lower cut-offs.

It goes like getting a score of 76 at NEET; getting admission to any BHMS programme from the private colleges is not so probable. For a general category, it usually starts up to 117 marks from the BHMS in the private colleges and in case of SC/ST/OBC, with marks ranging as starting cut-offs at 105. So, this particular score lies miles away from the already created tough cut-offs in admissions. You may also consider looking at colleges with lower cutoffs or other healthcare courses that may take your current score. Note: The best sources of information about that college's requirements are usually the college itself.

NEET Rank: 6200: Chances of getting Admission into Several Medical Colleges through Private institutions. For example, the college can be Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College or Smt. Chandaben Homeopathic Medical College. Government colleges, with this rank, can be a bit tough, though. Options are available in states that have higher numbers of medical seats. A watch should be kept on the cutoff trends that have emerged through counseling.
