There are total of 50 seats available for the MPH programme at IIPH Shillong.Eligibility: You must be graduate in the relevant field such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or nursing. 

The Masters of Public Health at IIPH- Shillong is full time two year programme.The first three semesters include classroom teaching, tutorials, and practical work.The final semester includes a six month project and dissertation.Students are encouraged to take internships during breaks between semester 

The faculty at the IIPH-Shillong for the Master of Public Health programme are knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. They are able to explain concept clearly and connect them to current public health issues.

The Indian Institute of Public Health- Shillong is not under CUET. Instead IIPH uses a merit based admission process that includes an essay writing and GDPI Round .

The Indian institute public health shillong was established by the public health foundation of India in collaboration with the government of Meghalaya . The institute aims to redress the limited institutional and system capacity in public health in the Northeast region of India.

After completing Masters degree in public health from IIPH Shillong, students can work in Government Agencies, Non-profit organizations, Community practice and Administration.Some job opportunities are like, Public health officer, Health economist, health policy analyst, Research scientist, etc.

IIPH shilong has placements that has organised workshop for students, Students were placed in company like HCL technologies, Novartis and AIIMS and has placements of 96% track record in its inception.

The Indian Institute of Public Health in Shillong provides support to students in their placements through its placement cell. The placement cell offers information on available opportunities, conducts workshops, and helps students prepare for interviews. But,  at some cost there is no any guarantee that students would surely gets placed but eventually 80% does gets placed . 

The admission fee for the Masters of Public Health programme at IIPH- Shillong is INR 10,000 and the examination fee is INR 10,000. Usually, it would be included in the total fees (exam fees) .For the 2024-26 academic year, the tuition fee is INR 2,40,000 per year for Indian and South Asian nationals including exam and admission fees.
