Dear Malhar,
These are very few University in the world (I mean very few) who offers the core specialization of Machine Learning in Masters Level. Either they offers MS in Data Science or particularly MS in Artificial Intelligence. Now, coming on to eligibility, then yes, you have to come from engineering background (not necessarily from CS or IT) to opt for this course. However, if you don't require any professional degree like MS, you may start learning these things on your own (if you are from non-engineering background). The minimum requirement of MHCET score is 60% for MIT, so I am sorry to say that you cannot have a chance to get MITSOT. Try other colleges or prepare yourself for the next year and bring the best out of you.

Hi Krish, MIT scholarships are based on financial need and not merit based. You will be automatically be considered for scholarship at the time of admission however you need to fill the financial aid form. Please go through this section for details

Hi,
The placements Madras Institute of technology, Chennai is really good. The companies like Microsoft, Google, Accenture, etc. Co.E for recruitment.
The average salary packages range from 4-6 lakhs per annum. The highest package is around 20 lakhs per annum.
Since many core companies come for placement, you should be skilled enough to get placed but they would provide the placement training so that there is no problem.
The alumni network also recommends students from MIT.
