The University has a total enrollment of 9,164 students with over 4,774 undergraduate and 4390 graduate students. The acceptance rate of Mercer University is 74.7% hence making admissions in the university slightly selective.

Mercer University is one of America’s the oldest and most distinctive Universities that was founded in 1833. The University offers more than 130 academic programs and around 12 schools and colleges along with an inclusive and diverse campus to ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and ocean of opportunities for its students. Mercer University has many successful notable alumni such as Erick Woods Erickson, Luke Askew, and Henry Dickerson McDaniel.

Mercer's test optional policy allows first-year students with a GPA above 3.35 and transfer students with a college GPA above 2.5 to apply without submitting SAT or ACT scores.
