To participate in the MET admission process, the candidates should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying entrance examination. All candidates are required to have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects. Individually in each of these subjects, the candidates also have to secure the minimum pass marks as prescribed by the respective board. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered during the MET counselling and seat allotment process.

Candidates are advised to check the official MET eligibility criteria before registration. If the candidates are not able to meet the eligibility criteria, then they will be disqualified from the MET admission process. As per the official criteria, the candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/any technical vocational subject as an optional subject. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks should have been secured by the candidates. There is no age limit.

Both exams have similar requirements when it comes to eligibility criteria and age limits, Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% in relevant subjects. Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for either MET or MU OET. However, candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission. Nationality: Both Indian and international candidates are eligible to apply for MET and MU OET.
