I can only speak about your chances at 96.09 percentile for MMS at XIMR. You have a good chance in the open category on the basis of last year's cutoff available on the website. However, cut-offs are basis the number of applicants at high percentiles.
Additionally, basis my understanding, XIMR is a niche, focused, primarily academic-driven institution, whereas, MET is a wholistic developer of managerial skills and indulges in a practical implementation of knowledge. Their batch size is larger than XIMR. This aids targeted knowledge to students of XIMR.

Mumbai is always a better option as compared to Pune because of more corporates being present and it being the commercial and financial capital of India. So better internships and placements are there in Mumbai.
a) MITSOT, Pune only specialises in telecom (which as a sector isn't doing too great) so they give very limited industry interface.
b) MET, Mumbai was good till a few years back. However, in the past couple of years, they are facing issues because of the trust problems and placements have also got affected. They have a very large intake which is good for campus life but not so good for education & placement quality. It is l
