No. The authorities do not provide any kind of centre for the MET mock test,   if the students do not have a system that meets the required specifications. In such cases, the candidates are advised to upgrade their system or borrow a system which meets the specifications that have been released by the authorities. If the candidates face any problems in accessing the MET mock test, the candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately. It is important for the candidates to attempt the mock test so that they are well prepared for the entrance exam.

The authorities will release the important system specifications that the candidates are expected to meet to ensure that the mock test is completed smoothly. Candidates should ensure that their systems meet the required specifications. The operating system should be Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions) / Windows 8/8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit) (all editions) / Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) (all editions) and should be updated with a good security. While most browsers can be used by the candidates to access the MET mock test, the most recommended browser by the authorities is Google Chrome. The candidates are advised to use the latest version of Google Chrome. The updated system specifications for MET mock test will be announced soon. Candidates should check the browser specifications carefully before upgrading their system for the mock test.

MET mock test link will be released online. Candidates will be able to access the MET mock test online at manipal.edu. Since no login credentials will be required to access the mock test of MET, all engineering aspirants will be able to attempt the test to assess their aptitude. The BTech MET mock test will consist of 18 questions that have to be answered within 60 minutes. Candidates will not be able to shuffle between sections and can visit the section only once.

Along with the NCERT books, the candidates are advised to refer to extra study materials to excel in the MET Chemistry section. Some of the important books that the candidates can refer to for preparation are - Inorganic Chemistry by OP Tandon, Organic Chemistry by OP Tandon, Numerical Chemistry by P Bahadur and A Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by RC Mukherjee. By referring to extra materials, the candidates will have higher chances of understanding the important topics in depth for the examination.

For MET Physics section, the candidates will have to refer to the NCERT books. However, along with the NCERT books, the candidates are also advised to refer to other materials and references. This will allow the candidates to have a higher chance of securing their required scores for admission into the preferred course and campus. Some of the best books for MET Physics are -  Concept of Physics Part 1 by HC Verma, Concept of Physics Part 2 by HC Verma and Understanding Physics by DC Pandey.

Some of the important books for the MET Mathematics section are - Class XII Mathematics by RD Sharma, Problems in Calculus by SL Loney, Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight and Trigonometry Geometry Books by IA Maron. Candidates are advised to carefully check the study materials so that they are well prepared for the entrance examination.
