MUOET is the exam quite tough to score as they check the overall performance of the student.
Here few topics for preparation which helps to score more in the exam:-
1) In mathematics cover topics like Trigonometry, Complex number, Matrix and determinant, application of derivatives, straight line, 3D Geometry, Limits & Continuity, Conic section.
2) In chemistry cover State of matter, Chemical bonding, Thermodynamic, Equilibrium, hydrogen, General organic chemistry, Solution, Electrochemistry, Extraction of metals, P&S block elements, Aldehyde ketone & Ether, Biomolecules.
3) In physics cover Law of motion, Gravitation, Work power & energy, Rotation motion, Sound waves, Electricity, Magnetic effect of current, Wave Optics, Semiconductor devices, Dual nature of matter and Radiation.
4) English is mostly a cakewalk for ICSE/CBSE students.Brush up your tenses, active/passive voice. Lay emphasis on synonyms and antonyms which are pretty common. You will not come across out of the world questions.Class 10th knowledge of ICSE/CBSE is enough. No separate preparation required.

This exam is not a tough one. If you have been sweating it out for JEE then this shouldn't be a problem. As far as the syllabus is concerned, CBSE class XI and class XII are enough. The main problem you will face is lack of time because it requires you to answer 200 questions in 150 minutes which is never easy. Also, the questions comprise of physics, chemistry, mathematics and English where they come in random order. So you need to plan out how you're going to go about it. For CSE, aim for around 135-140 to get a guaranteed seat.
The key to score well is to manage time wisely. Give more time to your strong subjects and make sure you score well. I personally gave around 45-50 minutes to Maths (my strong subject) and only around 25 minutes for Physics. And English won't take more than 10 minutes - the level of questions is just to test your basics.
One more thing especially for maths and chemistry is that the questions will stick to testing your basics and won't be very lengthy so try and reduce the time there. Also you could save time on calculations. These are the things I personally focused on while giving my paper last year.

You can easily crack MUOET in three months even if you are not preparing for any engineering entrance exam. The level of MUOET is not that high but competition is everywhere. You need to make proper time table. MUOET generally ask conceptual Questions. The mathematics part is generally easy and scoring as well. If you have studied well for board exams, then it will be quite easy for you.
Points you should know while preparing for MUOET:
1. You should spend 5 hours in mathematics, 4 hours in physics and 3 hours in chemistry.
2. Prefer NCERT books for chemistry and physics (chemistry is must).
3. Stick with the basics as MUOET tests your command over the chapters. For physics, you may prefer HC Verma (both volumes). RD Sharma objective is enough for maths.
4. Apart from all these, you should solve previous year's papers. This will give you an idea about the quality of Questions asked as well as paper pattern. Solve a lot of mock papers too.

To secure a rank under 100 in any competitive entrance examination is a little tough. You have to put a little bit more effort to place yourself in the list of top performers in any entrance test. Although MUOET is not as tough as JEE Mains, the competition is there too. Aspirants of JEE Mains also appear in MUOET so you have to work according to your plan.

3. Hall and knight for higher algebra
4. G.N Burman for basic calculus
5. RD Sharma
For English, objective general English by S.P Bakshi and previous years papers are enough.
Apart from these books, you should solve multiple mock papers and previous years papers.You can join online test series for better preparation.
