The cut off was 14970 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech + M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 21645 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Patna has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 14216. In 2022, it increased to 14895. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5243 to 5285 for OBC, 2861 to 2793 for SC, 2861 to 1336 for ST, 2046 to 2226 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

For 2022 admissions, the cut off was 52952 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech (Hons) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur. For the female candidates in general category under All India quota, 69621 was the closing rank BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 12271 and closing rank was 14122. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 18693 and 18693. Admission to B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The best companies visit the campus for interview and shortlist the candidate as per the company standards. Brands like Adani, Birla group, Reliance, ONGC and other companies come for placements. Students from the batch of metallurgical engineering like Jindal Powers and other companies offer an average of 25 Lacs to the candidates. Overall career development is done. Reliance Power, ONGC, Jindal, Adani, Birla, NTPC, etc. Are major recruiting agencies for the metallurgical branch. Rest, there are automotive companies visiting.

Job in the core industry which is metallurgy, in this case, you have to maintain your CGPA above 7-8 depending upon the company you are shortlisted for and to the extent for my memory serves, I didn't see any core company in metallurgy in my season. Do we really have this industry in India? If you are looking for a job in any high-paying company just like 90% other IITians, you have to sit for several written or online exams where your specialisation doesn't matter at all except in some cases but they don't really constitute significantly.
