You should do Diploma in engineering. It will be the best course for you. You can pursue Diploma in mechanical or some other branch. You will also have opportunity to get a government job.

Yes, you can take entrance exams for B.Tech and since you have already done Diploma in metallurgy engineering, so you can directly take admission in the B.Tech 2nd year through lateral entry.
