Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala offers admission to its BSc programmes on a merit-basis. Hence, the aspirants scores in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12 are taken into consideration. Candidates also have to submit their pass certificates at the university for verification purposes. The seats are allotted through a centralised allotment procedure.

Admission to this PG-level course is through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For selection, candidates have to take the MGU CAT exam, which is conducted in-house. Based on the candidates' score in the entrance examination, a selection list is released by the university. Candidates who make it to the list become eligible for participation in the counselling round. The seats are allotted after document verification during counselling.Moreover, its affiliated colleges accept other entrance exam scores as well. The accepted exam list include CPGET/MAT/CAT/CMAT/KMAT Kerala/Kerala University Admission.
