Hello Pranav,
Yes. You can get admission in government engineering colleges in Maharashtra through MHT CET. In fact, this is the only method of admission in Maharashtra not only for government colleges but for private colleges also.

Hello Anagha,
While JEE provides admission to national level government engineering colleges like IITs, NITs etc., MHCET grants admission into colleges in Maharashtra. Therefore, if you qualify in the eligibility criteria of MHCET, then you are eligible to pursue B.Tech in Maharashtra
If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

As per my knowledge the chances of MH-CET in 2018 for engineering are very slim. I recently read in newspapers that JEE is going to replace all other state engineering exams. However, they might include aptitude tests in order for a person to qualify for giving JEE Mains. They are thinking of cutting short half the number of applicants in the first round i.e. aptitude round itself. But good news is; that they will inform well in advance so that the preparations aren't hampered. Don't be surprised if there are no state exams in 2018.

Hi Shrey,
Examination for MH-CET-2017 will be carried out at all the district headquarters of Maharashtra State and will be within the same district from where the candidate has passed/is appearing at the 10+2 examination. All the eligible candidates will have to select the examination centre in order of preference at the time of registration. The centre once allotted by the Authority shall not be altered under any situations.
