The PDF of MHT CET mock tests can be downloaded from Shiksha page. Maharashtra CET Cell releases MHT CET mock tests every year before the start if exams. Students can download the official mock tests by Maharashtra CET Cell or practice it online. Solving mock test before the exam is very beneficial in scoring good marks in the exam.

During the preparation period of MHT CET sectional mock tests are useful. The sectional mock tests have to be taken after completing the chapter of any subject. The frequency of taking MHT CET mock test would vary based on the number of days left for the test. When there are three to four months left for the exam, students should take mock tests twice a week and dedicate the rest of the days for analysis and preparation. In the last month before MHT CET, the frequency of taking mock tests would increase. They are expected to take a full-length mock test every alternate day. After taking mock tests students should get it analyzed by their mentors to improve their performance and to create the exam-taking strategy.

MHT CET mock test should be taken after the basic preparation is over and the entire syllabus has been covered. Taking mock tests after MHT CET preparation will help students gauge their preparation level and also guide them on which sections or topics need extra emphasis. There is another pattern of taking mock tests, after completing each subject or chapter. This would help students understand their hold on each subject or section. The syllabus of MHT CET is similar to class 11 and 12 however not all the topics of class 11 are covered in MHT CET. As per the official syllabus released by the Maharashtra CET Cell, only some topics of class 11 are covered in MHT CET and all the topics of class 12 are covered. Students can download the official MHT CET syllabus from Shiksha page or from the CET website.

NCERT books are one of the best companion in the path of clearing MHT CET exam. Many students who secured top ranks in previous years in MHT CETs as well as other exams like JEE had pointed that they studied through NCERT books. The best part of studying NCERT is that they are easy to understand, have lots of examples to understand the topics and also have numerical questions to evaluate the performance. Students who rely only on NCERT books for clearing MHT CET have fair chance to getting a good score, however, students targeting 99-100 percentile are advised to refer additional books beside NCERTs.

Starting the MHT CET preparation from class 11 or 12 is the best time as MHT CET syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12 and students can easily cover all the topics along with school. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and MHT CET and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack MHT CET along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for CET beside class 12 studies. Taking help of coaching is not necessarily required for clearing the MHT CET exam. Many students score good marks in MHT CET by self-studying, without help from coaching. To crack MHT CET without coaching, students need to make a study plan considering the time they have before exam. Students can take help of online tutorials and videos from previous year toppers who have cleared the exam without coaching to understand their strategy.
