Microbiology has good scope in India and abroad. You can work in different hospitals and clinical laboratories as microbiologists. You can find opportunities in R&D departments in various pharmaceutical companies. Another option for you is to work in research for agriculture firms.

Yes, microbiology is a good career option only if you have interest and proper knowledge. In India, doing this course probably is not a great idea, because here Microbiology is still a developing subject. But in other countries like U. S it is a great option and also they have handsome package there. This is relevant in a variety of fields like, Hospitals, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Education, The environment.

B.Sc Microbiology is an upcoming course. You have lot of options after this course. You can do M.Sc. Or Ph.D. also after this and go in for some research. You can apply abroad also as microbiologist are in great demand these days outside India also.
