Hello Swadesh, After completing your Diploma in mining engineering, you can sit for the JELET exam, clearing which you will be able to do your B.Tech as part of your higher studies to get good jobs with good salaries. If you clear the JELET exam, you can directly take admission in the 2nd year of B.Tech, which is known as lateral entry. You can take admission to any reputed college or university based on your Diploma marks and JELET exam.
Thank you.

Hello, If you are ready to earn more along with its inevitable risk, then surely go for MBA, since a person with technical knowledge and an unique idea can launch his/her startup although there is a lot of uncertainty in it in terms of monetary rewards, which are usually extreme. On the other hand, M.Tech is comparatively a bit safer option since one can still have certain job options, but the salary here is usually fixed with arithmetic increments unlike extreme profits and losses in businesses. All the best.

Hello Yogesh,
Indian School Mines at Dhanbad, now converted to IIT is an example where one can do graduation in engineering in mining. But then next best is civil engineering. I feel if you make enough efforts you may land up a job in a mining company.
Best wishes.

The scope of mining engineering is similar to the number invented by Aryabhatta. Choose Mining if none of the better options are available. Mining should be your last choice. Mining is not the best choice but you can always change your path in the long race and of course, you can use your mining degree as a tool for moving ahead. In my opinion, CS EE and EC branches would provide you far better opportunities than mining. So choose mining, if it is your one and only last available option. Do like if the answer is helpful.

The scope is wide in India and abroad, Australia, Canada and countries in the Gulf are some of the best countries in this profession. Major companies in India are Coal India, ONGC and IOCL. You may gain some work experience in your home country before searching a job abroad. If you seek international exposure, you should strongly consider a foreign country. Labour shortage list of the countries will give you an idea of the job scenario.
