Hello Varun, yes you can. In lateral entry scheme. If you are using Diploma as equivalent to 12th then you can join any branch. I would further like to advise you to download the table that gives qualifying branches of Diploma for particular branches of graduation in engineering. This will be available on the website of the directorate of technical education of your state. Best wishes to you.

There is very simple process to get admission in SS College Of Engineering.
You just need to go and fill a form to take admission. And there very high chances for you specially to get admission easily. Or you can contact the admission department , so they will allot a seat to you for limit of time.

 I am afraid that Diploma holders are not allowed admission in NIT but they are allowed admission in IIT. This is a very typical situation but drivelling at the moment. Perhaps the time has come for parents to exert pressure on the government to allow Diploma holders to take admission in NIT is on the lines of IIT. Presently after Diploma you can take admission in graduation in mining in one of the IIT after passing JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
