Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, or a related discipline from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 55% (45% for candidates from underrepresented groups). The candidates must aslo have studied Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming Languages, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Data Warehousing and Data Mining in their bachelor's degree. They are also required to pass the MITACSC entrance test.

The MIT Arts Commerce & Science College is not providing hostel facility. Students should go for private hostels near by MIT Arts Commerce & Science College campus. There are many hostels outside the campus they can charge upto INR 5k to INR 10k per month for each person with room sharing.
