We have senior faculty who have corporate experience as well.This helps us understand the financial terms with examples of current corporate scenario.Our financial curriculum itself is influenced by the latest updates in the financial world.
Recently my batch -2016-18 visited BSE( Bombay Stock Exchange). In regards to placements my senior batch mates have been placed with Axis Bank, Indusind Bank, FIS Global, Evosys to name a few.

To get admissions for PGDM in any specialisation, you require minimum 50% in your graduation. So, yes, you can get admission for Finance or HR.
