Have you submitted the application form? If yes, then I don't think so it will be feasible to make changes. I would suggest you to contact the college admission office and take guidance from them.

There are a lot of options for mechanical engineer graduates. I am writing this answer because I am also a mechanical engineer. Basically, after doing mechanical, you can apply in IIMs, IAS and all other civil services exam ,but if you are really interested in the mechanical engineering then i will appreciate you to choose mechanical engg.
Now, come on the core mechanical engineering career options:

Hi Rich,
M.Des is a 2-year programme in MIT. The basic eligibility for admissions in the Master of Design programme is graduate or its equivalent (10+2+3 minimum), the students have to clear the admission process comprising of design aptitude test followed by studio test & personal interview.

It is better to go for GMAT, as it will open options for Masters from foreign universities. Gaming Development education is good in South Korean, Chinese and Singapore universities. In India also, you can get good institutes for gaming development.
