This course offers an overview of what graphic design is and the immense professional opportunities it provides. Students will be inspired and enlightened whilst being taken on a journey to the great works of past and present iconic graphic designers. This course is an examination of the effect and impact of mass media on contemporary life and society. The courses focus on teaching skills like photography and its technique, enhancing the overall style of the writing, elements of designing in the print media and Industry needs students who can design for print as well as online media utilizing various tools and technologies. Other modules give an insight into the press laws and ethics, constitutional laws governing the mass media, constitution and government, leadership and governance process, newspaper managerial aspects of newspapers, and structure of newspaper organisation. LPU Students are working with media companies like Asian News International, Vistara, News-X, Radio Mirchi, Zee Media, Indian Express, Book my show, Thomson Digital, Xentrix Studio, Code Brew Labs, Cube Digital, and various other super brands. There are guest lectures by eminent tv personalities, journalists, workshops, seminars to widen the horizons of the students.

Master of Arts M.A. In Journalism & Mass Communication gives training to the students in both technical skills and critical analysis of the media spectrum. It is a postgraduate course of 2 years duration. The course includes the study of mass media such as newspapers, magazines, cinema films, radio, television etc. In order to convey information to the audience. The course is comprised of the concept of news, the role of journalism in society, history of journalism, skills in identifying news and also covers political and social issues of particular society. For admission in the course, students must have completed Bachelors degree in any stream from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks. Admission in some of the colleges is done on the basis of marks secured in an entrance examination, conducted by the college, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. M.A. In Journalism & Mass Communication is a study of different means of communication by which individuals can convey the information to the large segment of the population through mass media. The course generally provides teaching and training regarding reporting, writing, editing, photographing etc. Students can opt. For specializations in various fields of journalism such as Sports Journalism, Science Journalism, Environment Journalism, Fashion Journalism, Film Making, Advertising, Corporate communications etc. Successful Graduates may work in the job areas such as Advertising Agencies, Books, and Novels, All India Radio, Photography Companies, Broadcasting Corporations, Press Information Bureau, Radio Telecasting Companies, TV Channels, Websites etc. Following is the minimum eligibility criteria required for the candidates interested in pursuing course the course :
