No, you will not require giving the exam of CMAT for the course of mass communication and journalism from Gujarat University. The CMAT is basically an entrance examination that can be cleared by students who want to undergo an MBA course from one of the B schools. For courses in mass communication and journalism, the entrance examination is mostly conducted by Gujarat University or through some other process.

There are primarily two Mass Communication courses available. The Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (BA Mass Comm.) is a three-year undergraduate program aimed to teach students the fundamentals of mass communication and media.This Course lasts three years and is divided into six semesters of six months each. The Master of Arts in Mass Communication (MA Mass Comm.) program is a two-year postgraduate program aimed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the worlds of journalism, mass media, and mass communication. This course is organized into four semesters over two years.
