In order to get admission to M.Tech at NIT Allahabad, students need to be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate with BE/BTech from a recognised University. Candidates also need to present the relevant documents as a proof of eligibility. The documents have to be uploaded during GATE form filling and will be required at the time of form filling as well.

NIT Allahabad offers a two-year M.Tech course in over 20 specialisations. Candidates must appear for JEE Mains qualified with at leat 96%ile to secure a seat. You must be 10+12 passed with 75% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.Application is accepted through josa counselling every year and seats are allocated as per the merit of candidates.There will total 6 rounds of seat allotment and 2 special rounds for vacant seat.

Total there are 1104 seats in B.Tech different branches of NIT Allahabad.

Seats are reserved in each branch for different categories. Around 15% of total seats i.e 125 seats are reserved for DASA candidates.14% seats are reserved for female candidates. 50% seats are reserved for state quota in every NIT. 27% for OBC ,10% for Ews, 15% for SC, 7.5% ST, and 5% for PWD candidates are reserved.
