IISER Mohali prioritises the comfort of students and faculty members and ensures the campus has modern facilities and infrastructure. Some of the facilities are listed below:Medical Centre: To provide basic first aid facilities to students, staff and faculty members, the university has a medical centre within campus premises.Library: The library of the varsity was established in 2007. There are a number of books, journals, publications etc. for dual degree and PhD students. The scholars of the university can find research related materials at the library.Sports: IISER Mohali has an athletic track, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis court, cricket and football ground at the campus. Students can use sports facilities during their free time to refresh their minds.

IISER students can avail the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship a National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Department of Science and Technology has decided to subsume KVPY with Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE). The students in the BS-MS programme at IISER Mohali receive the INSPIRE or KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) fellowship as long as they perform well. While KVPY scholars are admitted "automatically'" to the BS-MS program, the JEE merit-listed students are admitted on the basis of their ranks.

Admission to the BS-MS (Dual Degree) programme at IISER Mohali is done through three different admissions processes: SCB, KVPY, and IIT JEE Advanced.   The SCB, KVPY, IIT JEE Advanced Channel closure cut-off 2021 rankings for the General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, and KM categories have been made official.
