For admission in an MCA course, aspirants shall have a valid UG/ BCA degree or BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects or BE/BTech or equivalent from a recognised University. Further, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA. The minimum pass mark required for students belonging to SC/ ST categories is 55% aggregate or 6 CGPA.

Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination.
So if you are from general category than 75% aggregate marks in 12th or top 20 percentile is mandatory for admission.

UG (B.Tech) admission in NITs are based on ranks obtained in JEE Mains. Hence, on the basis of engineering Diploma, no one can pursue B.Tech course in NITs.

MNNIT does not offer BCA. So, you can try some other college for BCA.
