Applicants should normally have at least an upper second class honours degree completed in the last five years in the cognate subjects of Biological or Behavioural Science, Sports Science or a Health related profession. Your first degree must also have had a research training component. NEET PG score is mandatory for MPT admission

For majority of the programs, admission is done through National level entrance examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology formerly known as SRM University or authorized /statutory boards or agencies. For few programs admission is done directly. The SRM University conducts their own entrance exams for Direct Admission in SRM University 2023 Engineering and Management Courses I. e. SRMJEEE and SRMCAT respectively.

The eligibility and admission criteria of MPT course of CMC Vellore is given below for an idea. Eligibility :
1. Candidates should possess a BPT Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R Medical University or any other University recognised as equivalent.
