MTET Dates

The MTET (Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is conducted once a year by the DERT. The exam is usually conducted in the month of May-June, and the notification for the exam is released a few months prior to the exam date. It is important to note that the MTET exam is conducted in two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who wish to become teachers for students in the age group of 6-11 years need to appear for Paper 1, while candidates who wish to become teachers for students in the age group of 11-14 years need to appear for Paper 2. Candidates who wish to become teachers for both age groups need to appear for both papers.

Yes, the MTET exam is conducted on a single day but in two different shifts. The details of the MTET exam shifts has been given below for the candidates:Shift 1 is conducted from 10:00 am-12:30 pm for MTET Paper 1Shift 2 is conducted from 2:30-5:00 pm for MTET Paper 2However, the shift timing can be changed by the board.
