For your both the question , answer is YES. But probably i will not suggest one to join a graduation programme in animation or multimedia, instead i would suggest to join a long term animation course which also covers VFX part completely and simultaneously complete a normal ( BA / BSc/ BCOm )graduation online ( Must be UGC recognised ) , this will far more be better option to give you a stable career with growth.

After the successful completion of the course you must have a work sample demo which exhibit your skills in diff domains . With that definitely you can get an entry in to the animation/vfx/gaming/cg & film making industry.
About taking such course ,
I would like to share with you , recently due to some changes in UGC rules and conditions etc , many of the institutes has stopped taking admission in distance graduation programme in animation, though they are authorized to service their current students who has already taken the course in past , hence before joining any distance course specially a graduation in animation/vfx or film making

Normally all the subjects in such courses are related to Animation, art, design related and 1 communication ( English ) subject is included . Hence after such degrees , one can easily opt the masters in the same , but yes some of the institutes also offers distance MBA programmes .

Dear Rajat, this is to share with you , recently due to some changes in UGC rules and conditions etc , many of the institutes has stopped taking admission in distance graduation programme in animation, though they are authorized to service their current students who has already taken the course in past , hence before joining any distance course specially a graduation in animation/vfx or film making at any of the institute be very careful and ask for all information in written with the institute seal and signature .

The scope of Multimedia is well explained in its name itself. It says Multi - which means multiple and media is mode of communication, putting them together gives us the scope. Multimedia comprises of various medias for eg The Print Media , The digital Media, The websites, The E-learning to name few.
The scope of each of the above mentioned collectively forms the scope of multimedia. This is an extensive field and if you are thinking of pursuing your career in this segment then you are heading the right direction. Basically you must have completed 10th at least ( No matter Pass / Failed ) . Must have average to good communication skill in English , basic knowledge of computer . If yes , you can short list some of the institutes , which are offering the courses you are looking for . Then directly communicate with them, visit the institute , see which one is meeting your expectation and join them directly , they will guide you on procedure .

You can browse the web sites of various institutes , see their courses offered , note down their num / mail ids , communicate them with your requirement . Short list a few of them, personally visit the institute , if you like it , join, :)
